We are continuing to build our sukkah today in preparation for the Feast of Tabernacles.
This is one of our family’s favorite times of the year.
Ours is anything but “Orthodox” after all we are Believers in Messiah and we enjoy HIM fully during this time. It is during this HolyDay that we commemorate the birth of Yeshua and also anticipate HIS return.
The next eight days are full of faith, food , fellowship, fun and freedom . We glean from Jewish traditions but do not feel obligated to observe them to the letter. We have to adapt some of the details of our festival because of our local. For example we don’t have date palms at our disposal so our Sukkah will have a roof made from branches of trees we have in our region.
This year the budget didn’t allow for a Lulav and Etrog from Israel. So we will make do with a regular lemon and local species.

The most important thing for us is to set these days apart and delight in them before our Heavenly Father.
I pray that you and your loved ones have a Blessed Feast time. If you have never participated in Tabernacles before I encourage you to jump in. It’s a lot of fun, very rewarding spiritually and you are joining a reach heritage of worship that was practiced by our Savior Yeshua.

Abba led her to a new lifestyle that includes eating raw foods. Valerie is an inspiration and a true testimony of how God is faithful in answering our prayers for healing. Foodie Retreat
I have had friends from other parts of the country ask if I would do Real Food Retreat…. I am considering doing this as interest builds. The NW has so many beautiful places for a family vacation. What a fun way to make new friends, learn about Real Food.. Healthy Living and our Hebraic Heritage.
